Laboratory testing of polycarbonate, extruded acrylic and Aristech Acrylics® Acrysteel® and GPA brands shows over a period equivalent to 2 years outdoors in Florida, both of our formulations scored higher on the light transmission scale, when compared to extruded acrylics. A measure of the yellowness index shows UV-treated polycarbon¬ate yellowness increased exponentially and quite dramatically over time, whereas both extruded and Aristech Acrylics® yellowness grew at a far less dramatic rate. This means longevity and durability over time.
